Jilla recommends: the Lodge.space

We are always on the lookout for new fitness centres, so we couldn’t wait to tell you all about our latest find – the Lodge.space. Based in Canada Water (just around the corner from Jilla HQ!) the Lodge.space offers a huge range of classes, from Kettle Bell training to Aerial Yoga and Zumba, so there really is something for everybody!

Newly opened in 2017, the Lodge.space started off life as the park keepers lodge for Southwark Park and has since been transformed into the stunning space it is now, with it’s cool industrial vibe and super cosy rustic touches.

Yoga at the Lodge.space:

If yoga’s your thing, you have a vast choice of classes to choose from. The Lodge.space hosts classes for every type of yogi: If you’re new to the practice there’s the Beginner’s Yoga Flow class, which is ideal for both beginners and those at an intermediate level, and focuses on basic poses and breathing exercises. There’s also the Dynamic Flow class if you’re looking for a more intense workout! The Lodge.space also offers classes that are specifically designed for teenagers, children, mums-to-be, and early-birds! They also stock a selection of Jilla pieces, so you can look and feel even better whilst you’re getting your flow on!

 

 

the Lodge.space health kitchen:

Once you’ve completed your yoga flow, head to the Health Kitchen to recharge and relax in a beautiful setting. All the coffee is made using beans are from Ozone Coffee Roasters and is a real treat after an early morning class! As well as being delicious and looking completely instagram-worthy, the chef at the Lodge.space kitchen makes sure that most of the dishes are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free – what’s not to love?!

Whilst you’re there, why not stay for lunch too? The Health Kitchen has so many yummy lunch options, all hand-made and ready for you to take away if you’re after a healthy lunch to-go! We highly recommend the Veganyasa – gluten-free, vegan, healthy and delicious.

 

Veganyasa of Avocado, Cherry Tomatoes, Beans, Minted Zucchini & Cajun Tofu.

And if you’ve managed to leave space for dessert, the sweet treats on offer are well worth a try. We had the gluten-free brownie (which is also vegan) which comes served warm with toasted banana and berries (if you’re mouth isn’t already watering, check out the photo for added temptation!).

 

 

How to get there:

The Lodge.space is just a short walk from Canada Water DLR station. Nearest train stations are Surrey Quays and Canada Water.
