Yoga Stops Traffick

Yoga Stops Traffick is a global event which brings together yoga practitioners from across the world in hope to raise awareness and funds for survivors of trafficked women and children. The event takes place once every annum – falling on the 15th March this year. The campaign supports the work of ‘Odanadi Seva Trust’, an anti- traffick organisation based in Mysore (India), and the birthplace of modern yoga.

10% of all our profits from the 13th – 20th March 2020 will be donated directly to Yoga Stops Traffick.

What is Human Trafficking? Human Trafficking involves the recruitment, harbouring or transportation of people into a situation of exploitation. This typically involves the use of violence, deception or coercion.

South Asia, with India at its centre, is one of the fastest growing regions for human trafficking in the world. An estimated 135,000 children are believed to be trafficked in India alone every year.

2020 marks Yoga Stops Traffick’s 10th anniversary! Every year, a life- changing amount of money is raised to support the rescue operations of Odanadi, who provide a safe haven for survivors of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, slavery and domestic abuse.

According to the UN, approximately 40 million people were living as modern slaves last year.

Jilla Active are proud to be partners of such an incredible cause. And by standing alongside them too, you will be demonstrating your solidarity and support, as well as sending a message of defiance against a world which allows these horrific abuses to take place.

Together, we can make a difference! If you would like to read more about Odanadi please follow the link:
